How You Can Help
Make a Donation
You can help the Labrador Rescue of Cincinnati by making a tax-deductable donation using your amazon.com account or by using your credit card via PayPal! It is fast, free and secure.
(Note: You do not need a PayPal account to make a donation. Simply click the "Make a Donation" button above, then follow the instructions to make a donation using your credit card.)
Sponsor a Rescue Lab
Sponsoring a homeless dog is a great way to open your heart to a rescued dog, even if you can't open your home to one. Sponsorship is typically $10 per month, or $100 per year. You can select the dog you wish you sponsor, or ask the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Cincinnati to choose a dog for you. We will then send you a certificate, along with an 8.5 x 11 letter and an "autographed" picture from your dog.
We will also place your name in the pet's bio and will let you know when he or she has been adopted. If you are interested in sponsoring one of our Labradors, simply click the "spnsor this pet" button on a pet's page on petfinder.org. Or, you can click on the "Make a Donation" button towards the top of this page, which allows you to make a secure transaction via PayPal.
If you prefer to make a donation via personal check or money order, make them payable to Labrador Retriever Rescue of Cincinnati or LRRoC. Then, send your name, address, phone number, email address, and the name of the dog you wish to sponsor along with your donation to:

Where Does My Donation Go?
The Labrador Retriever Rescue of Cincinnati has no paid employees, no chairpersons, no managers...and no overhead. As such, 100% of your donation goes towards the care and feeding of the labradors. While most people think the biggest cost involved in rescue is simply feeding the animals, the veterinary charges and boarding are far more expensive. Listed below are some of the typical expenses we face each month:
Looking for more exact costs? This is what we go through on a monthly basis:
And now, multiply all of that by the 30 to 40 Labradors that we typically have in our shelter...and you will see why your support is critical to our success. While the meager adoption fees help us recover some of the costs, the care and resources we invest in each Labrador far outweigh what we ask for in return.
